We arrive @ Disney on 12/27/13. We have been chosen for the Magic Bands. Will our dining plan be linked to the magic band? If so, how will that operate? we have quick service dining. no reservations.

    Hi Nicole,

December is a wonderful time of year to visit Walt Disney World!  The theme parks and resorts are lovely when they are decorated in their holiday best.

As the MagicBands are still in testing, anything that I write here is subject to change without notice.  From what I understand that others have experienced, you should be able to use your MagicBands to redeem your Disney Dining Plan credits.  I have seen guests tap their MagicBands to the Touch to Pay system, and then enter their PIN number.  The appropriate number of dining credits are then deducted.  It is no problem that you do not have reservations, since Quick Service locations do not require nor take reservations.

Again, please remember that the MagicBands are still in testing phase.  Although some guests have experienced using the MagicBands for their Disney Dining Credits, this might not be in testing when you are at Walt Disney World.  I suggest asking the cast member when you check in at your resort to confirm if your Dining Plan Credits are available on your MagicBands.

I hope that this helps, Nicole!  Have a wonderful time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
