When we arrive at Disney my child will be 3 but will turn 4 by the end of the trip is a ticket purchase required for him?

    Hi Keisha,

That's such a fun age for a Walt Disney World vacation! I have so many fond memories of our girls at Walt Disney World as preschoolers, and I'm sure you will make special memories as well.

A ticket is required for all Walt Disney World guests who are 3 and older. So your son will need a child's ticket for the theme parks. Child-priced tickets are available for ages 3 through 9.

Once you acquire your tickets, it will be time to make your FastPass+ reservations. I personally think a ride on Dumbo the Flying Elephant is the perfect way to kick off a Walt Disney World trip for any child (and sometimes for adults). You can find other ideas for what rides, attractions and experiences are recommended for preschoolers on the Disney website, including a list of tips for making your trip with a young child the best it can be.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Keisha. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as you plan your magical vacation. Enjoy....and take lots of pictures!
