If I arrive on 10 December, when can I book dining reservations? Thank you!

Hi Angus! Welcome to planDisney! I’m so happy to be able to help you today!

Oh my goodness, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be here before you know it, so I'm glad to hear you are already starting to think about making Advanced Dining Reservations! If you ask me, the food is always the best part of any vacation, don't you think? Especially when we’re talking about the delicious culinary creations available at the fabulous restaurants throughout Walt Disney World! So, you’re so smart to be ready to snag those coveted Advanced Dining Reservations to ensure you don't miss out on the food you have been craving. Well, rest assured, help is on the way in the form of your trusty planDisney Panelist, ME!

Angus, you can start making Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days before your arrival date, starting at 6:00 a.m. EST. So, in this case, you can begin making reservations on Tuesday, October 11th, for your vacation on December 10th. If you’re staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you get the added benefit of being able to book for your entire stay (for up to 10 days) 60 days before your scheduled check-in. So, you get a jump start on securing some of those hard-to-get reservations at Walt Disney World's most popular restaurants. How great is that? So, if you are able to take advantage of this extra benefit, I recommend booking the most popular restaurants toward the end of your visit. This way, fewer people will have had the opportunity to book, giving you a better chance of snagging a table. For example, the incredible character breakfast at Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera is one of my absolute must-dos for any Walt Disney World vacation. However, it books up super quickly, so I would start with that one and book it towards the end of your stay.

Now, I highly recommend using your My Disney Experience app to search for available reservations, as I find it to be the easiest way to get the most up-to-date availability in real-time. To start your reservation search, simply log into your My Disney Experience app and click on the "+" in the middle of the navigation bar. From there, select "Check Dining Availability" and enter your party size and the date you are looking to dine. You can then browse through different meal times, view all available restaurants, and follow the prompts to secure your reservation.

I hope this answer has been helpful for you! We are a big bunch of Disney foodies here at planDisney, so please feel free to stop by again with another question if you'd like to hear some of our recommendations.

    Bye for now!
