    We arrive Dec 21 and want to try and get on the Slinky Dog ride first thing. We need to check into our resort Port Orleans Riverside before headed to the park. What time should we get to the resort in time to catch the bus to Hollywood Studios?

     Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jacqueline. I'm just thrilled to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays!

     I love that you're heading straight for Toy Story Land on the day you arrive. Playing in Andy's Backyard is so much fun! It looks like Disney's Hollywood Studios is currently scheduled to open at 9:00 AM on December 21, 2018. Bus service from Resort hotels to the theme parks begins 45 minutes prior to park opening, so I recommend being at a bus stop by 8:00 AM on your arrival day. This means you should plan on getting to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside around 7:00 AM. Your room may not be ready that early in the day, but Bell Services will be happy to keep any luggage for you while you're at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If your room is ready when you check-in, you'll have a bit of time to get settled before walking toward the nearest bus stop. Did you know that Andy just recently decorated his backyard for the holidays? You'll have a great view of his adorable hand-made decorations while you're riding Slinky Dog Dash!

     Be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app prior to your arrival. This app is super cool with lots of convenient features. One of my favorites is the new bus time feature which gives up-to-the-minute estimates for when buses will be departing from your Resort hotel!
