We will arrive on the 6th of April and we board our Disney Wish Cruise on April 7th at 1pm. We are in need of advice on where to stay near MCO and a place that provides a shuttle to Port Canaveral to check in for our boarding time.

Ahoy, Candice! I am always happy to meet a fellow Georgian with a Disney Cruise Line vacation on the horizon. It won't be long before you hear Captains Mickey and Minnie say, "Welcome Aboard, Pal!" Hot dog!

Disney by land and sea is my favorite vacation combination. You can call Disney Cruise Line and ask about adding a hotel stay and ground transportation to the port to your reservation. They can help you add a night at any Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you could plan for a day in the theme parks. If you come in a little later in the day, you could stay in Disney's BoardWalk area, enjoy dining at one of the restaurants, and play a round of putt-putt at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf. You could also book a night at Disney's Port Orleans - French QuarterRiverside or Saratoga Springs and take the boat to Disney Springs for dinner and shopping. For a more relaxed evening, my family stayed at Art of Animation before a cruise and enjoyed the Big Blue Pool and Movies Under the Stars. Landscape of Flavors was perfect for a quick bite in the morning before heading to the port.

Your Disney hotel will provide directions on when and where to bring your luggage and board your bus to Port Canaveral on the morning of your cruise.

Another option is the Hyatt in the Orlando airport. Disney Cruise Line can help book this resort and transportation from the airport to your ship.

Disney makes using their transportation so easy! You add your Disney Cruise luggage tags to your suitcases, leave them as directed before you board your bus, and your bags automagically appear outside your stateroom on the ship later in the day! Just make sure to bring a carry-on bag for the essentials you will need on the first day on the ship, like your required travel documents and any medication. Your Port Arrival Time is based on when the bus arrives, so you might board earlier than 1 p.m. It's not guaranteed, but is another benefit of leaving the driving to Disney.

With your cruise so close, transportation to the port may be limited. I would call as soon as possible.

Candice, I hope this helps and you get the finishing touches on your magical vacation Bibbidi Bobbidi Booked!
