We arrive at airport at 5:30 pm & staying CSR with DP. Would like to check in and head to dinner not at CSR. Appreciate your suggestions for closest options and commute times for dinner via Disney transportation. Thank you!

    Hi Shirley,

I had an opportunity to stay in one of the beautifully refurbished rooms at Coronado Springs Resort last December with my Moms Panel Pals and thought it was lovely!  In fact, I liked it so much, I'm going back in a few weeks.  The resort is beautiful, and is centered around a gorgeous lake that makes a fabulous backdrop for a morning or evening stroll.

If you think you will be tired from travelling, there is a great table service restaurant located on property at Coronado Springs.  Maya Grill features American food with a hint of Latin flare.  It serves delicious steak, fish and chicken dishes, and my favorite, a super yummy seafood risotto.  If you do decide to head off-property, I would recommend heading to Downtown Disney for dinner.  I'm guessing you won't want to use a park ticket so late in the day for dinner, and heading to another resort will take a more travel time.  You can catch a bus at Coronado Springs that heads directly Downtown.  I would allow approximately 30-45 minutes to allow time to walk to the bus stop, wait for a bus and head to your destination.

Some of my favorite "Downtown" dining spots that are included on the dining plan include Raglan Road (an Irish Pub with great food), Cap n' Jacks (for fresh seafood in a lovely waterfront dining venue) and Planet Hollywood.

    Have a wonderful first night!
