we arrive in the afternoon of the 16/9, if we wanted to eat at the world showcase that night, would need need to buy tickets to get into the park? we have 4 day park hopper passes but wouldn't want to waste one day just going for dinner. any suggestions?

    Hi Penelope!

Just thinking about the food options around Epcot's World Showcase is making me hungry. (The crazy thing is that I just finished eating dinner!)

Unfortunately, you'll need theme park admission to visit World Showcase. So, if you don't want to use one of the days in your 4-Day Park Hopper Pass, I've got a few ideas for you:

    1) You can buy a 1-day ticket for admission to Epcot that afternoon, which will give you access to the entire theme park and World Showcase. You may want to also call Guest Relations at (407) 939-7523 to see if it would be cheaper to just upgrade your tickets to a 5-day pass instead.

    2) If you aren't interested in paying for admission that day, consider checking out the dining options at Downtown Disney. Admission is free and complimentary transportation is available from all of the Walt Disney World resort hotels.

    3) If neither of those options work, but you still want to venture outside of your hotel for dinner, you should check out the dining options at other resort hotels around Walt Disney World. If you're staying at a Disney resort hotel, you can ask a cast member for the easiest bus/monorail/boat route to take. Or, if you want a quicker trip, taxis are available for hire at each of the resort hotels as well.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

When the time comes for you to take your culinary adventure around World Showcase, one of my absolute favorite hangouts is the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar in the Italy Pavilion. Molto Bene!

I hope that helps! If you should have any further questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
