Arrival at 11am for our first trip to WDW, staying at Poly. I was planning to head to MK but it closes at 7 for MNSSHP. Is it worth it to head to MK for just the afternoon? (We have another full day at MK Sat) And where should we eat when we first arrive?

    Hi, Kelly!

Welcome to the beautiful Polynesian Resort.  This is one of my family's favorite resorts!  Once you find a cozy spot on the beach, you may never want to leave.

If you want a full day and evening on your arrival day, then maybe you will want to head to Epcot.  Here, you can enjoy park hours until at least 9pm.   If you just want a quick dose of magic, then head to the Magic Kingdom and get to bed early for an early start the next day.

As far as eating, you can grab a quick bite at Captain Cooks, just steps from the main lobby at the Polynesian. They have great Asian noodles, yummy flatbreads, and even burgers and fries.  Have a quick lunch then it is off to the magic!

However you decide to spend your first day, I hope you and your family have a great time.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
