On my arrival day at WDW I want to go hotel sight seeing instead of going to a park. We are staying on WDW property & I was wondering if I am allowed to drive my car and park at other hotel parking lots even if I don't have a dinning reservation?

Hello Katie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I always recommend to Guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort that the Resort Hotels are like Theme Parks unto themselves. My family and I visit a new Resort Hotel for each visit and try to experience everything that each unique location has to offer.

As far as parking at Resort Hotels is concerned, it is reserved for Guests staying at the Resort Hotel and those with Advanced Dining Reservations at an onsite Dining Location only. For Resort Hotel hopping, I recommend that you do a little advanced planning and rely on Complimentary Resort Transportation for your travels during the day.

For instance, by traveling to the Main Gates at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park, you can board one of the Friendship boats for an opportunity to visit one of 5 Resort Hotels and Disney's Boardwalk Promenade with one stop and a little walking around picturesque Crescent Lake.

Taking a bus to Magic Kingdom grants you access to 3 Deluxe Resort Hotels connected via the monorail or a boat launch to either Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort or The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground.

    Happy Hopping!
