    On our arrival day we don't want to go to a park. We want to take it easy, check in, swim, shop in DTD. But the kids (ages 6, 5, 3, 2, 1) want to jump right into the Disney experience. Are there any character dinners outside the parks? Other suggetions?

    Hi Lauren,

    I highly recommend Chef Mickey's for your first night. It is a great way to kick off your Disney vacation as your kids can visit with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. This is located inside the Contemporary Resort so a park pass is not required. Call 407-WDW-DINE for reservations.
