On our arrival day, we booked a Beachcomber Shacks Premium Plus at Typhoon Lagoon for our Water Park Fun All Day. Our grandson, who is 16 months will be with us; can we bring our own pack and play and use it in the cabana?

Hiya Harold, and welcome back to planDisney! My husband and I recently discovered the splashtastic fun at the Disney water parks, so I'm thrilled to "dive in" and help you today. You'll be taking the plunge at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park soon, and I'm so excited you snagged a Beachcomber Shacks Premium Plus. Cowabunga, dude!

I chatted with a whistle-wearing Cast Member named Rose, who said some standard portable playpens are considered too large and could result in being turned away. Since I'm not sure of your playpen's size, I recommend asking a Cast Member at the water park entrance and specifying that you'd like to set it up in your Beachcomber Shack. If they don't let you bring it, you can easily take it back to your car since the parking lot there isn't very large.

My pal Ashley points out in this answer that wet sand is abundant at the water parks, so you might not want to risk ruining a nice pack 'n' play. She suggests bringing a stroller that lies flat instead. Since your grandson could also ride in it from the parking lot and back, I love the stroller option. It seems like I'm always loaded down when I go to the pool, so one less item to lug around sounds practically perfect.

Before I let you go, I'd like to suggest reviewing the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules to confirm the size limits for coolers and strollers. Note that you can bring reusable ice packs, but not loose ice, in your cooler.

Enjoy your premium digs at Typhoon Lagoon this week, Harold! You'll feel like royalty with your shack's padded chairs, mini fridge, and private television. I'm not sure I'd ever leave that space! Let me know how it goes, and stop by planDisney anytime. Just keep swimming!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
