Arrgh! I promised my son that we would do Pirates League on our next trip to Disney World. He wants to be a pirate for his first ride on Pirates of the Caribbean but Pirates League closes the week before our trip! Please help, I need a good alternative.

Ahoy, Matthew! Ye come seeking adventure and salty old pirates, aye?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, matey! I’m so excited that you’re looking to give your boy the true “pirate’s welcome” he so deserves on your next trip to Walt Disney World! My own little scallywags have definitely enjoyed their visits to Pirate’s League and have made many memories there in the past. I have indeed been told that it will no longer be found on any treasure maps past July 26, 2020. But have no fear, Matthew, as there are other sure-fire ways for your boy to live a “pirate’s life” on your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

First off, consider a pirate-themed room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! These rooms will immerse him in a pirate’s universe, with everything from the pirate ship beds to the pirate curtain and even a wooden powder keg which opens to reveal a mini refrigerator!

Secondly, I’m sure your little adventurer would love an evening on Captain Hook’s Pirate’s Crew! Buccaneers ages 4-12 can enjoy a swashbuckling journey, dinner and scavenger hunt with Captain Hook and his crew while other family members enjoy time away. Pick up and drop off are at Disney's Beach Club Resort, which is a perfect location from which more experienced pirates can explore nearby dining and even offers easy access to Epcot World Showcase and Disney’s BoardWalk! If you prefer to explore the seas together, consider the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage for a family journey you will not soon forget!

You could also consider treating him to some authentic Disney pirate garb from shopDisney that will get him excited for his journeys ahead! You can even bring along some makeup to complete the look! While checking out the merchandise, keep an eye out for an amazing Pirates of the Caribbean themed MagicBand that would be sure to thrill him!

Lastly, for the ultimate surprise, check out Me Pirate Adventure from Disney Floral & Gifts, which could be delivered right to any Disney Resort Hotel Room to add that extra pixie dust which helps those special vacation memories last forever!

With this combination of incredible pirate experiences at your fingertips, I’m sure your son will be ready to join the ranks of Captain Jack Sparrow while on his next unforgettable voyage on those stormy seas we all know and love.

Matthew, please do not hesitate to come back to see us if we can be of any more help as you continue to make plans!

Yo ho, yo ho, way to go!
