    I am arranging independant airport/port transfers. I'm just wondering what time to arrange the car to pick us up. Is everyone assigned different disembark times? Our port arrival is 7:30am. Our flight home leaves at 2:40pm. Thanks!!

    Hi Carrianne!

    Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question.  Disembarkation day is pretty well organized with the Disney Cruise Line.  When the ship arrives port, guests will hear the announcement once the ship has been cleared for disembarkation. You've got time to eat a good breakfast at your designated dining restaurant that morning. Usually, the guests who have earlier flights will be rushing through the gangway - please try to stay out of their way.  You might as well enjoy your breakfast leisurely and get all lined up to exit the gangway at around 8:30 or 9am. Don't forget to pickup any photo souvenirs or CD's that you may have ordered from Shutters.  They'll usually have those marked and ready for pickup before disembarkation. 

    Once you make your way to the exit, along with a few very sad and lonely passengers leaving the ship, don't forget to wave bye to your Cruise Ship Captain. Officers and Cast Members. A "See ya' next time" photo opportunity for sure.

    Once you leave the ship, you will go through customs and then go to baggage claim to get your luggage.  Depending on how quickly you walk with your luggage in tow, you can likely be by the curbside at around 9:30.  Please allow about an hour to get to the MCO airport from the port.  Your airline check in counters should be open by then to complete your checkin and bag drops.
