Arr 8/3 -1pm POP. Plan on hitting TL w/family for couple hrs 1st day. Since DME doesn't go from H2O parks to Downtown D, will have to travel to any resort 1st. How much DME travel time should we expect? ADR @ PH730. How much walk time from bus drop to PH

    Hi Cecila!

Wow - you are really packing in the fun during your first day at Disney World!  From the moment you step out of the plane until you are checking in at Pop Century, will take around an hour and a half.  I realize that this sounds like a long time, but trust me, it will fly by!

Once you are settled in, the trip to Typhoon Lagoon will take around 20 minutes.  When you are ready to leave, the quickest route will be to hop on a bus bound for Port Orleans French Quarter and then switch buses to Downtown Disney.  Not including waiting time, the trip from Typhoon Lagoon to Downtown Disney will take about 45 minutes.  Make sure that you get out at the SECOND stop, known as the West Side.  Fortunately, Planet Hollywood is about a 10 minute stroll from this bus stop.  Be sure to try the L.A. Lasagna - it's my favorite!

Promise me that you will go right back to your room when you are done.  It may be the Mamma in me, but I need to make sure that you get a good night's sleep.  You will need it for your first full day in the parks!!!

    Much pixie dust,
