Ahoy There, Lynnette!
Welcome to planDisney. Thank you so much for sailing by with your question. How exciting that you are planning to sail to the great wide somewhere. Our family has enjoyed many Disney Cruise Line sailings, and it's a wonderful way to discover dazzling places we never knew while being immersed in the magic of Disney.
Lynette, you can use the
DisneyBands+ on select cruises for opening your Stateroom door and for making purchases to charge to your Stateroom. They work the same as the MagicBand+ does in the park. If you already have a MagicBand+, you can use that same band on the cruise. They just have a different name on the cruise, but they are the same thing and work the same way. It is connected to your Disney Cruise Line account. Sometimes, you need to visit Guest Services to reconnect them if they don't work when you try to enter your Stateroom, but usually they work on the first try.
If you do not currently have a MagicBand+ from your visits to Walt Disney World Resort, or you would like to purchase a Disney Cruise-themed one, you can do that right from your Disney Cruise Line account, i
n the "My Reservations" section, or from the Disney Store website. The
cost of the DisneyBand+ ranges from $34.99 plus tax to $44.99 plus tax each (subject to change.)
Our family loves adding a bit of Disney flair with our DisneyBands+, and they make our cruise a bit easier. It's like magic at your fingertips!
I hope this helps you, Lynette! If you have any further questions, sail back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.
Bon Voyage,
Keri
