Hi Thomas!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited for you to experience a transatlantic cruise aboard Disney Cruise Line! My husband and I took a transatlantic sailing for our honeymoon and had such an unforgettable time! There's something so magical about taking a Disney Cruise that lasts longer than seven days. The ship becomes your home away from home and your Serving Team becomes part of the family!
Ooo, you've asked a tough question! The weather while crossing the Atlantic Ocean in early September can be very unpredictable. While on deck, you may experience high winds and a rainy evening or two, but don't worry! There will be so many activities happening around the ship to keep you and your pirate crew busy! I highly recommend
packing a jacket, sweatshirt and jeans just in case there are chillier days or nights. Hopefully, you'll experience nothing but sunshine and warm weather as you cross the ocean!
When my husband and I made our transatlantic crossing, the motion of the ocean was a little more noticeable compared to other itineraries. If you are prone to motion sickness, I suggest contacting your physician for recommendations for an over-the-counter medication. It might be beneficial to begin taking it a day or two prior to your embarkation day so it's in your system the moment you're ready to set sail! If you forget, no worries! The
Health Center will have motion sickness medication available, too!
Thomas, I'm wishing you a phenomenal time on your upcoming cruise! Please come back and visit us again with any other questions!
