Hi Michele!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by to dish about one of my favorite topics - dining at Walt Disney World Resort! Is it just me or does all food taste better when it's Mickey-shaped?
Michele, there are currently two dining plans available at Walt Disney World Resort - the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the
Disney Dining Plan. Both dining plans offer each Guest a Resort-Refillable Mug that can be used for the length of your stay and one snack or non-alcoholic beverage per night. The difference between the two plans can be found in the meals available. With the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, each Guest will receive two Quick-Service meals per night while Guests on the Disney Dining Plan receive one Quick-Service meal and one Table-Service meal per night. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no provision in the plans to exchange or trade Quick-Service meals for Table-Service meals.
If you currently have the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan but are interested in dining at Table-Service locations as well, you could choose to either pay out-of-pocket for the additional meals or see if you can upgrade your dining plan selection. This can typically be done online by logging into your
My Disney Experience Account and then clicking on "My Plans." From here, you can modify your package to upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan and pay the difference. If you have any issues or don't see the option to upgrade, I recommend
calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations for help from a friendly Cast Member.
Michele, I hope this helps as you prepare to enjoy many delicious meals and treats around Walt Disney World Resort on your upcoming vacation! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see me or any of my panelist pals again here at planDisney where you're always welcome to be our guest!
Bon Appétit!
