We aren’t staying at a Disney hotel so don’t have a dining plan but I want to know about food and drinks In the parks, is there a cup that can be refilled as required at the parks to save us carrying lots of bottles.

Hi Laura, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a very important question.

The refillable mugs available for purchase or that are included in the Disney Dining Plans can only be used at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. They cannot be used for refills on drinks inside any of the theme parks.

One thing that helps me save money on drinks is to bring my own refillable plastic water bottle with me in the parks. It fits in a mesh pocket on the side of my backpack. I usually fill it at a water fountain or ask for a complimentary glass of ice water at quick service or table service restaurants. On previous trips, I have taken my refillable mug into the park with me only to have the lid leak or pop off in my bag and get everything wet. You can bring your own drinks into the parks, as long as they are not in glass bottles since these are restricted items that are not permitted inside theme parks. I hope that helps to answer your question. If you have any other questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
