We aren't planning on getting back to Disney world until Dec 2014. If I purchased theme park tickets soon could we still use them in 2014? Also if I purchased mine in a few months then my husbands a few months later etc to break up the cost, wld it work?

    Hi Ann,

Buying your Disney theme park tickets now will save you money because we can all safely assume that tickets purchased in 2014 will cost more than they do in 2012.  If you purchase tickets without the no expiration option, be sure not to activate them before your 2014 trip.  Otherwise unused days will expire and you will not be able to use them in 2014.

It would also be fine to purchase one ticket now and one for your husband later.  I've done that before to spread out the cost of our tickets.  Again, just keep those unused tickets in a safe place until 2014.

Depending on the number of days you hope to purchase for Disney theme park admission, you might want to consider purchasing your tickets through AAA as this organization offers discounted tickets for members.  Typically, you need to buy at least a four day ticket to realize any savings on your purchase at AAA.

Let us know if you need any additional advice as you plan your 2014 vacation.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
