We aren't at Disney for a full week but it looks like the day we are planning to go to the Magic Kingdom in September the park closes at 7 p.m. Is this usual? Is it possible that the closing time could change to 9 pm once we get closer to September?

    Hi Daina,

Congratulations on your upcoming vacation, it will be here before you know it!  It is always a good idea to check Walt Disney World theme park hours once your vacation gets closer since operating hours and events are subject to change.  However one possibility for a 7:00 PM closure of Magic Kingdom in September could be for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.  Here is a link to the Disney Parks Blog which details all of the dates for this year's party.  If your planned day to visit Magic Kingdom falls upon one of these party dates then it is not likely that Magic Kingdom's regular theme park operating hours will be changed beyond 7:00 PM because that is the time in which the separately ticketed party begins.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  Please let us know if we can answer any further Disney vacation planning question for you.  We are always happy to help!

    Blessings,
