Are there any areas in DTD that children are not permitted? Am travelling for my Honeymoon in December (with kids aged 5&6) and don't want to walk into somewhere to be chauffeured out!

    Hi, Gemma!

Congratulations to the Honeymooners!  Walt Disney World will be a great place to celebrate.

Downtown Disney is a family-friendly location.  The Marketplace is the more family oriented end with stores such as Once Upon a Toy and the World of Disney Store.  The West Side has is geared more towards adults, though there is still fun for all ages with the new bowling alley, Splitsville, and the AMC Movie Theater complex.   There are a few locations, such as the bars at Raglan Road and House of Blues, that are not adapted to children, but you will find most of Downtown Disney to be a perfect way to spend an evening.

If you and your new spouse are looking for a grown-up night out, you can drop your kids at one of the fun activity centers such as The Never Land Club at the Polynesian. They will watch your kids (charged per hour) while you can go out to celebrate your new life together!

Wishing you a fun time at Downtown Disney and a lifetime of happiness as husband and wife!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
