Hi Margaret, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Even if you don’t enter the theme parks, there is so much Christmas magic around the Walt Disney World Resort at this time of year.
One of my favorite ways to find festive fun is to tour the resorts. Each Walt Disney World Resort is dressed up for the holidays, with the decorations reflecting the resort’s theme. The resorts feature towering Christmas trees, and many have amazing
gingerbread creations on display. If you’d like to see holiday fireworks, I recommend watching Magic Kingdom Park's fireworks from the beach at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – they even pipe the music in! Don’t forget to visit Pineapple Lanai for an iconic Dole Whip to eat while you watch the show.
You’ll find plenty of yuletide cheer at
Disney Springs, Margaret! Be sure to walk through the Christmas Tree Trail, featuring trees themed to Disney’s movies and attractions - look closely at each tree to spot all the Disney details. Santa is even there in his holiday chalet, and I highly recommend the frozen egg nog for sale on the trail. We also loved Stitch’s Holiday Gift Hunt – it was actually pretty challenging! Follow the clues to find Stitch, who is hiding with his presents all around Disney Springs. When you’ve completed the hunt, turn in your completed booklet for a special prize. There are
delicious holiday meals, drinks, and treats available throughout Disney Springs, so be sure to treat yourself!
Wishing you a merry and magical vacation,
Robyn
