Is there an area for people with disabilities or in wheelchairs and ECVs to view the Main Street Electrical Parade, Fantasmic!, or World of Color?

Hi there, Christine! Welcome to planDisney. We are so happy to have you here in our magical little corner of the internet where planning Disneyland Resort vacations is our favorite thing to do!

One of the very best things about the Disneyland Resort is that it is a welcome space for all Guests. Cast Members will go out of their way to ensure everyone's needs are met and everyone can experience the magic in their way on their terms. So ... all that to say, YES! There is a special viewing area for World of Color, Fantasmic!, and the Main Street Electrical Parade for friends in wheelchairs and ECVs. No advanced planning is necessary, but it is recommended that you arrive early to ensure a spot in this viewing area. Seeing as the spectaculars have just made their grand return, I would maybe take a peek an hour or two ahead of the scheduled start time to see how the crowds are shaping up. In all cases, if it's not clear where the viewing area is for you, simply ask a friendly Cast Member and they will be happy to direct you to the correct location!

In addition to the special viewing areas, there are so many wheelchair-friendly services for Guests. Within the Disneyland Mobile App, you can easily pull up accessibility information about each experience and attraction. Just tap the "+" in the bottom navigation bar and select "View My Genie Day and Tip Board". Toggle to the Tip Board and click on any of the attractions listed. You will see a drop-down that details the mobility access for each attraction so you know what to expect before you get to the front of the line!

Seeing as I have a fellow nighttime spectacular fan in you, can we talk about the Foodie Guide? Did you even experience a Disneyland nighttime spectacular if you didn't have a themed sweet treat alongside your view of Fantasmic! or the Main Street Electrical Parade? I highly recommend taking a look through the Foodie Guide and EARmarking a few things you want to try ahead of your visit. The last time I was in the parks, I made a point to try the Electric Sweet and Salty Popcorn from the "it's a small world" popcorn cart ... it was not only delicious, but it was a joyful rainbow of popped kernels! Next on my list is the Pineapple Night Lite from Red Rose Tavern. It comes with a glow cube ... need I say more? SO MAGICAL!

Christina, I sure hope this was helpful in your planning. If you have any more questions, drop by to see us again here at planDisney

    Magic awaits!
