If we have APs and are staying at a Disney resort, can we add a Disney dining plan to our resort reservation? Does everyone on the booking have to have the same dining plan? Ex. some have DDP and some use TIW card? Thanks

    Hi Jerry,

If you stay at a Disney resort on an Annual Pass rate, you are entitled to add a Disney Dining Plan to your reservation.  However, be advised that Annual Pass rates are not always available.  For instance, my family stayed at Disney's Wilderness Lodge last September.  Even though we were Annual Pass holders, there were no rooms available at an Annual Pass rate at that resort that week.  Therefore, we were not eligible to add a Disney Dining Plan.  That was a big disappointment for us because we love the flexibility and cost-effectiveness of the Disney Dining Plan.  I'll keep my fingers crossed that an Annual Pass rate will be available at your chosen resort during your next vacation.

If you select a Disney Dining Plan, everyone in your resort room must take part in the same plan.  You are welcome, however, to use the Tables in Wonderland discount card on the parts of your bill (alcoholic beverages, for instance) that are not covered by your Disney Dining Plan credits.  Be sure to let your server at each restaurant know that you are using the Disney Dining Plan and Tables in Wonderland.

Best wishes for a magical Disney vacation!  Thanks for a great question.
