Hi Sarah!
Thank you for bringing your question to
planDisney! I am happy to help you with making sure your vacation to Walt Disney World is absolutely magical!
One of the things I love most about Walt Disney World is its commitment to helping guests of all abilities. I want to point you in the direction of a few great resources that I think will help you.
First, I highly recommend checking out the
Services for Guests with Disabilities site. This site provides a broad overview of many of the services and access options throughout the Walt Disney World theme parks and resorts.
Second, you mentioned a cognitive disability. The
Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities site provides information on the types of services offered to help Guests with cognitive disabilities. There are options for renting a
stroller,
wheelchair or
ECV/motorized scooter, which may address the special needs you mentioned. According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Property rules, wagons and stroller wagons are not allowed in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks or water parks. However, a stroller, wheelchair, or ECV may address your needs.
If these options do not address your needs, I recommend reviewing the
Disability Access Services (DAS) page. You can register for DAS prior to your arrival via live video chat or on-site at Guest Relations. I highly recommend taking care of this prior to your arrival, which you can do in a few simple steps. Between 2 to 30 days in advance of a park visit, go to the
DAS page and schedule a live video chat. Make sure to read the terms and conditions prior to signing up, as there are a few important items to note.
Finally, you can contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com if you have any further questions and concerns about accommodations needed.
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
