For an April WDW trip we are planning new experiences for our teenage girls. We are staying at the Grand Floridian, and my oldest old and I are set, but need suggestions for my wife and 13 year old if the spas are closed on a no-park day? Thanks!

Greetings, Douglas and welcome to planDisney!

You must be so excited to be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. You picked a great time to visit! Your trip actually happens to be during my most favorite time to visit the parks. Not to mention, you will be able to enjoy the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. The topiary displays and delicious dishes offered, during this festival, are truly incredible! Be sure to take your time exploring EPCOT and capture as many photos as you can with the enchanting topiary displays, you won’t regret it.

I’m so happy to hEAR that you will be taking a day off to enjoy all Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. When it comes to break days, my family like to spend the day shopping and dining at Disney Springs. Your wife and 13 year old can even take a balloon flight, while visiting Disney Springs. My family also likes to plan a nice meal on our break day. We usually pick somewhere new, or at a resort we are not staying at. This allows us to not only enjoy a meal, but allows us to see a new resort that we can potentially add to our “must-try” resort list.

Honestly, Douglas there’s so much to do while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, it’s just a matter of finding what they would enjoy the most. I hope after taking a look at the Enchanting Extras Collection, your family is able to find the perfect thing to enjoy on your break day. Let us know if you have any more questions as you continue to plan for this visit. We’re all EARs!
