April is our trip. LO is 6 months old. Tricks about resteraunts? Baby can't sit yet in high chair and we won't have his carseat, just the carriage that's left outside. What do we do?

    Hi Kimberly,

Our first visit to Walt Disney World Resort with our little guy was when he was almost 6 months old and, much like you, I wondered what seating arrangements would be available to us. Unfortunately, most Walt Disney World restaurants only have high chairs, which aren’t entirely suitable for little ones who haven’t quite gotten the knack of sitting upright unassisted yet!

What worked the best for us: a portable high chair that attached to the side of our table. This was a perfect solution for us because our little guy had a chair that was perfect for his size, and because he wasn’t in our laps the whole time, both Mommy and Daddy were able to eat with two hands for most meals!

In addition, I’ve heard reports that some restaurants may allow you to bring your stroller inside, especially if your baby is asleep when it’s time for you to eat. Because bringing strollers inside restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort is generally not possible, please ask the Cast Member at the podium when you check in whether they’ll be able to accommodate you (because there are no guarantees that they will be able to do so).

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. I love helping people travel more easily with their babies!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
