Hi I am going to be there from April 29-May1st and my best friend will be getting proposed to! I was wondering how much it costs to have a photographer capture the moment.

Hi Maricela, welcome to planDisney! I can’t think of a more enchanting place than the Disneyland Resort to begin a happily ever after. You are a wonderful friend for helping to make the day extra special!

Maricela, while private photo sessions are not currently offered at the Disneyland Resort, there are amazing PhotoPass photographers stationed across the Resort who are well-versed in capturing special moments. I suggest heading to one of the PhotoPass locations for the proposal and waiting in line for the photographer.

One of the most popular PhotoPass locations, and an iconic setting for proposals, is in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. It tends to be a high-traffic area, so there may be an audience once the proposal happens. Keep that in mind in case your friend wouldn't like the extra attention. There are other PhotoPass locations to choose from, too. If your friend is a Star Wars fan, for example, a proposal in front of the Millennium Falcon could be, dare I say, out of this world!

Here's another tip, Maricela: The Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows unlimited downloads of PhotoPass digital photos, so you should consider purchasing this add-on. You'll enjoy shorter waits at popular attractions and be able to save photos taken at PhotoPass locations all day long. I'm sure you'd love to get some special photos with the happy couple, too!

If you have a chance to sneak away at some point before the proposal happens, pick up a complimentary “Happily Ever After” button for each of them. These are usually found at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A., and retail shops may also have them. You can get an "I'm Celebrating" button for yourself, too!

Please keep in mind that Disneyland will be closing early (at 8 p.m.) on April 29 and May 1 due to Star Wars Nite, a separately ticketed After Dark event. At that point, you can move over to California Adventure if you have a Park Hopper ticket or Magic Key pass, or you can take the celebration to the Downtown Disney District. There are some nice lounges at the Disneyland Resort Hotels, too, like the Broken Spell Lounge. If you are feeling extra adventurous, there are still a limited number of tickets available for Star Wars Nite at the time of writing this. It's a lot of fun, with special entertainment, interactive elements, and Character appearances from a galaxy far, far away.

Maricela, pixie dust is in the air! I hope the proposal comes together as perfectly as a fairytale ending. Please reach out if you have any other questions. We at planDisney are always happy to help!

Wishing you and your friends happiness,
    Kriss
