Hi after April for magic key holders the dates or full blue does that mean we won’t have to make reservations anymore?

Hey there, Lisa! Fellow Magic Key holder here, waving my Mickey ears with excitement! Welcome to planDisney—you've come to the perfect spot for all things Disneyland magic.

You asked a great question about those blue dates without availability icons on the Magic Key calendar. While those might seem like reservation-free zones, park reservations are still required for all guests, even after April. Magic Key holders have the ability to make reservations up to 90 days out. The calendar is showing us all those future dates past the 90 day mark to serve as our handy guide to blockout dates extending into next year. This makes planning Disneyland trips a breeze, and it's also a fantastic tool for anyone considering which Magic Key pass to purchase since it lists future blockout dates across the various pass types.

I was just checking out that calendar, and I had to do a double-take! Did you realize the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will be here in just a few short months?! It all starts May 16, 2025, and trust me, this is one party you won't want to miss! We're talking about the grand return of the Paint the Night Parade and Wondrous Journeys, as well as a brand new nighttime spectacular, World of Color Happiness! Plus, you know there's going to be a whole feast of special food and limited-edition merch. Consider my bags (and Mickey ears) packed!

And, have you heard the buzz about Walt Disney – A Magical Life? It's a brand-new attraction coming to the Main Street Opera House during the 70th, and it's going to be historic! For the first time ever at any Disney Park, we'll get to see Walt Disney himself through Audio-Animatronics technology. Imagine hearing his story, in his own voice, about building this magical kingdom we love so much! I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it! It's going to be an absolute must-see!

But Lisa, while we're all getting excited about the 70th Celebration, let's not forget there's so much magic happening at the Disneyland Resort right now! Even though the calendar's only showing availability for the next 90 days, there is plenty to do during that time! From seasonal events, like the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, to the everyday enchantment of our favorite attractions, there's always something special to experience. So, don't wait to use that Magic Key and make some memories!

I hope this helps you plan your next magical adventure, Lisa! If you need any more tips or have further questions, don't hesitate to reach out—we're always happy to help a fellow Disney fan!
