Approximately how long should we plan for a Teppan Edo reservation? Thanks.

    Hi Curtis,

Teppan Edo is a delicious, fun meal for the entire family, high above the Japan pavilion at Epcot. Besides the great food, the showmanship of the chef who prepares your meal right in front of you is something to see. We've eaten there for special occasions like birthdays and for gatherings with a group of friends.

Everyone always cheers when the chef flips a shrimp tail into his hat or lights an onion volcano on fire! It's all part of the experience.

With any Walt Disney World table service restaurant, I always like to allow at least an hour for our meal, more if it is a signature restaurant where we expect to have multiple courses. (I'm a fan of lingering over coffee and dessert).

Service at Teppan Edo goes fairly quickly since your food is cooked in front of you as you watch. However, I would still expect to spend at least an hour there. You are on vacation, after all, and don't want to feel rushed while you dine or as you move to your next FastPass+ or planned activity.

This dining experience is very popular, so I highly recommend advance dining reservations, which can be made up to 180 days in advance.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Curtis. Please let us know if you have any other questions as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation. We're always happy to help make your visit even more magical. Enjoy!
