Approximately how long will it take to get from the Electrical Parade to Ohana's? Parade starts at 8 pm, but our reservations for Ohana's is 8:30. Is this doable? Thx!

    Hello, Serena,

One of my absolute favorite desserts at Walt Disney World is part of the 'Ohana dining experience:  ‘Ohana Bread Pudding à la mode with Bananas-Caramel Sauce.  It is so delicious!!  I'm already jealous of your night out dining at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

I really wish I could say that going to the 8:00 parade at the Magic Kingdom would work, but I'm worried that you may be cutting it pretty close as the parade is 20 minutes long. Would you be visiting on an evening when there are two parades scheduled?  If so, I would think going to the later showing of the parade (most likely 10:00 pm) would be much easier for you to enjoy your dinner at 'Ohana then a quick ride back by monorail or boat to the Magic Kingdom for the parade.  And a bonus of the later showing of the parade is that it is often less-crowded, too.

If that isn't an option, you could try to see if your reservation could be bumped back to 8:45 or later by calling (407) WDW-DINE or stopping by Guest Relations at any of the parks or lobby concierge at any of the Disney resorts.  Most of the guests will likely continue staying at the park to watch the fireworks that follow the parade, so there shouldn't be a large number of guests leaving the park when you are going to the resort. I'd be hopeful that you'd be able to get onto the resort monorail quickly (I do recommend the monorail instead of the boat as it will drop you off on the same floor as the restaurant which will save you some time once you arrive).

Wishing you a wonderful trip.  If you have any further questions, please let us know. -Kara
