Approximately how much is alcohol at the value resorts? We are trying to see if we need to bring our own or just buy there?

    Hi Katie,

An adult beverage can be a great way to unwind after a day in the theme park, whether in a lounge, pool bar or in your resort room or by the resort pool. You will find beers and wines for sale in the value resort food courts and a small selection of liquor is usually available in the gift shops.

Pricing is pretty standard across all the Walt Disney World resorts. You will find it significantly cheaper to bring whatever alcoholic beverages you want to consume in your room or by the pool. For example, a can or bottle of domestic beer will be somewhere around $6-$7 from the food court cooler.

I always weigh convenience and experience vs. price for our Walt Disney World vacations and find that I seldom consume libations I bring from home because we've either had a drink with dinner or want to enjoy one of the many great lounges across the Walt Disney World resort rather than have a drink in the room.

You also will find a pool bar at each value resort that offers draft beers and mixed drinks. A margarita from Petals Pool Bar at Pop Century is one of my favorite adult treats at Walt Disney World.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katie. I hope this helps you with your planning. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions. Your vacation is just around the corner. Enjoy!
