Hi Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I love how thoughtfully you’re planning ahead and coordinating with family. That kind of teamwork is pure Disney magic in the making!
Jennifer, the
Disability Access Service (DAS) has undergone some updates since you last used the service. With the most recent changes, you have to be inside the park before you make your selections. But before we get to that, let’s get you set up.
If you have not applied yet, DAS registration is done through a live video chat with a Cast Member. You can request this up to 30 days before your visit, and everyone in your travel party should be connected in
My Disney Experience ahead of time. If approved, DAS will be linked directly to your account and ready to use during your trip.
During your visit, once you enter the park, log into your My Disney Experience app, and you’ll see the list of attractions that offer the service. Just like before, DAS doesn’t provide immediate access to attractions; instead, it allows that Guest, and up to three members of their party, to request a return time for an experience that reflects the current standby wait. This helps minimize time spent in a traditional queue. The Guest for whom DAS is requested does need to be present during the registration process and when using a DAS return time at the attraction, so the experience stays centered on their needs and comfort. Once you have requested and utilized a single DAS, you can repeat the process, one attraction at a time.
The great news is that DAS works beautifully alongside
Lightning Lane purchases. While family members purchase Lightning Lane selections for certain attractions, you can use DAS return times to experience other attractions without waiting in the standby queue. Many families find this combo really helpful for balancing flexibility with
must-do rides. Just make sure everyone links tickets in My Disney Experience, so plans stay nice and coordinated.
I hope this helps you feel confident as you plan your February visit. If more questions pop up, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us!
Wishing you smooth days, pixie-dusted sensory breaks, and lots of magical moments with your family. See ya real soon,
Emille
