Hello, Melissa! Thank you so much for returning to the Moms Panel for help with your trip! Your fall vacation is sure to be full of magic, especially with your little ones in tow! If it’s their first trip, be sure to get a couple of “first visit” pins for the stroller canopy or diaper bag!
I’ve traveled with my little kids to Walt Disney World Resort more times in the last few years than my husband would like to admit, and I’ll tell you that it absolutely has prepared me for travel! I recently penned an article on Babble with
8 tips for bringing a baby to Walt Disney World, and I think some of these may be helpful. For instance, bringing a small bottle of detergent has proven invaluable for a load or two of laundry (blankets, spit cloths, onesies and other items). An extra sippy cup is always in my suitcase, as well as extra pacis, stuffies, over-the-counter remedies, and more diapers than I can count.
Of course, if you find yourself missing some supplies, each Resort gift shop has items you may need, such as diapering supplies or snacks. I find the
Baby Care Centers in the 4 main Theme Parks are extra helpful with large changing tables (with paper!), highchairs, a quiet place to breastfeed, and a TV room without distractions to relax. You’ll want a changing pad to lay on everyday bathroom changing tables.
As far as something I wished I had brought more of, that usually comes down to feeding. I always want extra bibs (wipeable Disney-themed Bumkins are my favorite), extra diaper wipes and temporary sticky mats for the kids’ places at the table; it makes clean-up easier.
Have a magical vacation, and if I can help you with anything else for this trip, I’m happier than Wilderness Scout Russell to assist! ~ Lindsey P.
