Hello, would appreciate some insights and recommendations on good neighbor hotels, need something for 3 adults and 2 kids. One of us has knee problems and would like something close to the park gates. There are a lot of options so would like to get input.

    Hey, howdy, hey, Ryan!

That’s so exciting to hEAR you are planning to round up the gang for a rootin', tootin' time at the Disneyland Resort! My family of six loves to stay as close to the magic as we can as well. A helpful tool on the list of Good Neighbor Hotels is the “Sort by” drop-down selection. If you select “Location,” the list will be ordered by the approximate distance from the Disneyland Resort.

My family and I have stayed at several of the hotels located across the street from the Disneyland Resort. We’ve enjoyed our stays at all of these fine locations. Among the options that will be able to accommodate a party of five, I would recommend the following, depending on the level of amenities you desire. For a value hotel, Best Western Plus Park Place Inn & Mini Suites offers a location that can’t be beaten. For moderate accommodations, we have enjoyed staying multiple times at Springhill Suites Marriott at Anaheim Resort Convention Center. For a deluxe offering, I recommend Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance. The water park area there is great fun for the little ones!

No matter where you end up, I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful experience at the Happiest Place on Earth! Given your hotel selection criteria, you are likely to end up at a hotel on Harbor Boulevard, on the East side of the Disneyland Resort. But I hope you still get a chance to enjoy some shopping and dining at the Downtown Disney District on the West end of the resort area. There are wonderful opportunities to play, shop and eat at locations so convenient to the Disneyland Resort theme parks.

    Have a magical time, Ryan!
