Would appreciate any help on pros and cons for a1 week trip with Daughter & her DH, 4 yr old GS & 1 yr GD for a stay with 2 rooms at POP, Cars Suite AOA, taking camper to Fort Wilderness. Comparisons of food courts, buses or boats to theme parks. T

Hi Arlie! Let's start with comparing first the Pop Century Resort and the Art of Animation resort. The Animation is the newest on property so you still get a nice fresh feeling with the rooms and the common areas. The family suites are great as you have a separate bedroom with a queen bed and attached bath and then other bed configuration in the living area with another bath. If you enjoy being all together 24/7 then this is a great way to do it at Disney.

Pop Century is in the same location and just across the lake. Both of these resorts do not share a bus with any other so your comparison on transportation is about equal. Both have good food courts with many choices and large enough to handle the crowds. Two rooms at Pop Century is nice especially if you can get connecting (doors inside the rooms) or adjoining (next to each other in hallways but no connecting door). This gives you some "away" time when you need it without feeling bad about disappearing into your room. I love my family dearly but away time can be a blessing on a vacation!

Your last comparison is completely different. My husband and I bring our motor coach every year and enjoy Fort Wilderness completely. It is a much different experience and we love the peacefulness that permeates the campgrounds.  If you wish to all be in one camper it can be a bit crowded and especially if the weather is not good for the kids to be outside. The Disney bath houses are beautiful though and there is one in each loop that includes showers and laundry facilities.  An alternative to all being in a camper are the cabins located at this resort as well. Fort Wilderness has easy access by boat to the Magic Kingdom or buses to the other parks but you do need an internal bus to get the main bus depot at the front.

I think my vote might be two rooms at Pop just for the privacy issue and convenience for you and your family.
