I appreciate all the help. Going to POR end of Jan. Are there any remodeled rooms that I can request that are in Alligator Bayou but close to the food and store? Thanks.

    Hi Jenny,

I just love WDW at the end of January! The low crowds are wonderful for really being able to enjoy the details of the well-themed parks.

As you know, Port Orleans Riverside (POR) has been undergoing extensive renovations to the rooms in the Alligator Bayou (and Magnolia Bend) sections of this gorgeous resort.

Building 14 has remodeled rooms. This is a preferred location and thus costs a bit more than other buildings. However, it's the closest building to the Riverside Mill where the food court and store are located.

Other buildings that have completed renovations include 36, 37, and 38. If you veer across Ol' Man Island, building 38 wouldn't be too far of a walk. I walked this same path on a vacation in January 2011!

Let us know if you have any additional questions and enjoy your stay at POR!!
