Hi there, Haley! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. It looks like you have been busy planning all the details and must-dos for your upcoming trip.
When making a reservation for
Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers, you are correct that it states the be there 10 minutes early. This is to help the Cast Members have enough time to check everyone in for their appointment. I suggest getting there for rope drop to make sure you are in the first wave of Guests heading into the parks and as close to 8:00 a.m., as you can be for the park just opening. There is no specific time, but lately, I have seen that they have started letting people through the turnstiles at around 7:30 a.m. From there you are allowed to head down Main Street, U.S.A., towards Sleeping Beauty Castle. When the park officially opens at 8:00 a.m., the ropes will drop and you will be able to head towards Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I assure you the others that have a similar time appointment will be hurridly trying to get there just like you and I am sure Cast Members will extend some grace as they know you are trying to get there with a large crowd of people.
After you channel your inner Jedi and build your lightsaber, I suggest heading over to
Ronto Roasters and grabbing a Ronto Wrap. It's one of my favorite food items in the parks. They even have a Ronto-less Garden Wrap if you have a plant-based eater in your family like mine does.
Haley, thank you again for visiting us with your question. As the weeks continue to get closer to your Disneyland Resort visit, be sure to stop by and see us again if you have any other questions! May the force be with you!
Carrie
