How do I make an appointment for a DAS pass for my foster child?

Hiya Richard - welcome to planDisney!

The Disability Access Service (DAS) at Walt Disney World Resort offers additional flexibility for Guests who are unable to utilize standard attraction queues. For Guests located in the U.S. there are currently two methods to register for DAS: via pre-arrival online chat, or in person at a Guest Relations location within a Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park.

At this time, there are no appointments available and you will join either a virtual queue if using pre-arrival online chat, or a queue for the next available Cast Member in person at a Guest Relations location. If the Guest who is seeking to qualify for DAS registration is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must be present for the duration of either form of registration.

If eligible, a DAS-registered Guest uses the My Disney Experience Mobile App to select an attraction and receive a return time, usually the same amount of time as the wait in the attraction's standby queue. In addition to the DAS-registered Guest, up to five additional Family & Friends can be added to each return time selection. At the return time, simply return to the attraction and use the Lightning Lane for a reduced wait. This allows the DAS-registered Guest to spend the time waiting in a location that is more accommodating to their individual needs. Once one return time is redeemed, another one can be selected in the app!

An additional benefit of pre-arrival online chat registration is that a Cast Member will assist you in making up to two additional DAS Advance selections for each day of your visit. These are one-hour windows during which you can access an attraction through the Lightning Lane, and are independent of the return times selected in the app! Pre-arrival online chat registration must be completed at least 2 days prior to your first day in the park in order to qualify for DAS Advance selections, so I recommend trying soon. The new system is extremely popular, and wait times can be significant, so I recommend requesting the chat early in the day for shorter wait times.

I hope this information is helpful, and that you have a magical vacation experiencing everything that the Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary Celebration has to offer!
