Hi Maria! Welcome to planDisney.
I see you've got a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort coming up in just a few weeks - woo hoo! I think a January trip is such a wonderful way to start your year with magic and pixie dust.
As a military spouse, I'm very grateful for the discounts offered to our service members visiting Walt Disney World Resort, and I'd like to thank you for your service. The discounts don't work like traditional promotions that you "add to cart," so let me walk you through how and where to find military discounts for your vacation.
First, let's talk about tickets. The
2022 Disney Military Salute Tickets are a fantastic deal; you can read about the pricing and eligibility in the
Offer Details. These tickets may be purchased from your local base ticket office or via email from
Shades of Green. Once you receive your tickets, you'll need to link them to your
My Disney Experience account so you can make your
Theme Park Reservations for each day of your visit. When you arrive at Walt Disney World, visit a Guest Relations location to show your valid and active military ID to activate the tickets. These promotional tickets come in four and five-day increments; if you're planning a longer or shorter stay, check out Shades of Green's website for a full list of military discounted tickets.
For stays at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, the military discount has limited availability, and you will need to call (407) 939-7830 and speak with a Cast Member to see which resorts are available for your vacation dates and the rates. I also recommend looking at Shades of Green, which is the resort hotel for military members located on Walt Disney World property. The Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin sometimes offer military discounted rates; call the resorts directly to see if those are available.
Finally, if you're looking to add the military-discounted
Memory Maker to your vacation, the discount is only available in person. Stop by a
Guest Relations location to show your military ID and make the purchase; I usually do this at the same time that we activate our tickets. I know military families spend time apart, and the photos from our Disney vacations have been lovely to look at during vacations and travel times for our family.
I hope this helps you find all the military discounts. I love saving money when visiting Walt Disney World Resort - it just means more souvenirs, DOLE Whips, and Mickey-shaped treats! Have so much fun planning your Disney vacation, and please come back and see us if we can answer any more questions. Enjoy your magical R&R!
Wishing you much magic,
Robyn
