Anchors aweigh, Mikayla! It won't be long before you are singing "Yo! Ho! Yo! Ho!" as your cruise sets sail and you wave to all the people not lucky enough to be on board with you.
If you plan on using
Disney gift cards to cover expenses on your cruise, you can take your cards to Guest Services once on board and add them to your account. There are no restrictions I am aware of with these cards that would limit you on the types of purchases you can make. I have used them in the past, and the amount was just deducted from my bill before my credit card was charged the remaining balance. On cruises, I am likely to have gift shop purchases for souvenirs, specialty coffees from
Cove Cafe,
Port Adventures, and a DOLE Whip with Rum (they are delicious!). All of these are added and the gift card is applied to these expenses.
Once on board and connected to the cruise wi-fi, you can check your account balance on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. It's one of the features under "More" to view your Cruise Folio. You can also stop by Guest Services or contact them through Chat when you are on the ship with any questions.
Speaking of making purchases easily, have you heard about
DisneyBand+? You can use a MagicBand+ from a Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort vacation or purchase a DisneyBand+ for your cruise. I loved the convenience it provided to get into my stateroom, purchase drinks by the pool and even thrill on the waterslides with it on my wrist. It was amazing!
I hope you have a magical cruise, and be sure to swim back by
planDisney with any other questions. If you have a specific issue I did not understand, please
ask me specifically and we can continue the conversation to get you the information you need.
SEA 'Ya Real Soon,
Jana
