Well hello there, Rachel. Welcome to planDisney, where we answer all of your Disney vacation planning questions...and I jump at the chance to talk all things dining at Disney!
The easiest way to take advantage of the
free dining plan offer for Disney Rewards Visa Cardmembers is to click on the "Check Availability" button on the
offer page. To qualify, your dates must fall within the valid date ranges and you must book a nondiscounted vacation package for at least 4 nights with 4 days of tickets with your card. When you're booking with this offer, the price on the checkout page is the price that includes the free dining plan and will be the price you are charged as long as you pay with a Disney Rewards Visa Card. When booking, you will be able to select the number of days on your theme park tickets. The number of nights on your hotel stay
can be longer than the number of days on your theme park ticket as long as your ticket has at least 4 days on it. Be sure to
check out all of the important information on the offer details page.
Now once you've booked that trip, the all-important question comes into focus: where are you going to dine? If you get the
Disney Dining Plan, make sure you take advantage of the fact that you can book all of your table-service restaurants 60 days ahead of your arrival date (up to 10 days). This is especially important for those hard-to-get reservations like
Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom Park,
Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and
Le Cellier Steakhouse in EPCOT. And you'll want to follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog to see if not only the
Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers is open on Disney's BoardWalk when you're there but if it'll take the Disney Dining Plan. A lot of times newer restaurants don't at first, but it never hurts to check!
But if you get the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, don't be fooled. There are some pretty stellar options for a more on-the-go meal at the resort. My husband's favorite is
Satu'li Canteen in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and I'd have to agree that it's pretty stellar. The food quality rivals a great many table-service restaurants across the resort. And
eet by Maneet Chauhan in Disney Springs is at the top of my list for my next trip and it just recently got added to the quick-service plan. Just note that all offerings are subject to change so you'll want to check out each restaurant's page before you dine there on a dining plan!
Rachel, I hope you enjoy each and every bite of your delectable meals at the Walt Disney World Resort.
I'll be here to answer anything related to food...or anything else related to the resort as a whole!
What could be more important than a little something to eat,
Matt
