Hi David!
Welcome back to planDisney.
It's always a pleasure to assist my fellow guests from the UK, and with the recent changes to the Disability Access Service (DAS) I can understand there are many questions about this.
Every guest who wishes to register for DAS is required to have a video chat with the DAS team up to 30 days in advance of their visit. For International guests, including visitors from the UK, this video chat cannot happen until you arrive in the United States.
Once you have arrived, please use this link to speak with a Cast Member (this will only work in the US, and you'll need to scroll down the page to find the link for a video chat).
When you are at the parks you are welcome to use your mobile device to link to the video chat, but you can also connect from your Resort hotel room, which may offer you a more private and quiet space to talk. You can also visit any Guest Relations at the parks where, if you need it, you'll find assistance with connecting to the video chat, and you can do this on the first day of your visit to get everything organised.
I hope this explains what you need to do, but please come back and visit us again if you have any further questions -
you can also send me a direct question if you wish. We will be very happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World. Remember to keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news about events that may be happening during your stay.
