Hello Craig!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! I visited during late August before and while it was hot I found the crowds to be very manageable and I enjoyed having more excuses to eat ice cream!
Disability Access Service or DAS is a wonderful resource for people who are unable to stand on a typically prolonged queue due to a disability. Guests from Great Britain, unfortunately, cannot pre-register for it but it is very easy once you get into any of the Parks to head straight to
Guest Relations and speak with a friendly Cast Member. The person who needs the DAS service must be present for the interview. Once set up they will usually allow the guest who needs the DAS service plus up to five guests to now select return times for experiences rather than waiting in a queue. Now, I see that you have a party of seven so it may be a little tricky. I would speak to a Cast Member on site but consider purchasing
Genie+ for the guest who is not included in the six total people that can be grouped with the DAS pass. Just work to manage your Lightning Lane selections to have some overlap so that you can enjoy the experiences together.
During the hot summer months in Florida, I was grateful that I booked a
Table Service Dining Reservation in the middle of the day. It was a pleasant and cooling break from the hottest part of the day and recharged my family for the second half. I would consider making a
Dining Reservation for lunch and for other meals you should definitely consider using
Mobile Order. Mobile Order a snack or meal from
various locations and wait not in a line but nearby until it is ready. It will help streamline your vacation.
Just some additional advice, if your friend has a need to keep medications refrigerated she should speak to someone in
First Aid and they can assist you as well!
If you have any questions before you arrive I would feel free to reach out to some other
Disney Experts on this page. As always, we are here for you at
planDisney!
Have a wonderful trip!
