Ahoy there Lisa, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you sailed my way with your question! While I'm not a cardholder myself, I know there are so many Disney Cruise Line Guests who absolutely swear by the perks and rewards, so I'm no stranger to that world either. Let's dive in!
The Disney Rewards Visa Card from Chase is a great way to stretch every dollar you put toward a Disney Cruise Line Vacation! Not only do you get rewards on each purchase - Disney-related or otherwise - but when it comes to booking a
Disney Cruise Line vacation, you actually get an extra special cardmember perk: special financing! As of this writing, according to the cardmember agreement, for the six months immediately following the purchase of a reservation, you'll get special financing on the price of your vacation, assuming your account is not past-due!
I'd definitely double-check your cardmember agreement to confirm that this still applies when you receive your card, but between that and 2-percent Disney Rewards Dollars, it sounds like you've made quite the good decision! Be sure to check out the Disney Rewards website for details on how to redeem your Disney Rewards Dollars for a Disney Rewards Redemption Card - you've got to do at least three weeks before your vacation!
And the perks don't end there, be sure to use your new card for your onboard account at
Guest Services (either while booking your vacation or once you embark) and you'll get special cardmember savings on certain purchases onboard - just be sure to ask a crew member to confirm what's included, as it's always subject to change!
In no time you'll be earning rewards, saving with special perks, and celebrating the 4th of July in Disney Cruise Line style, Lisa! No matter which of the
Disney Cruise Line ships you're embarking on, you're in for the adventure of a lifetime! Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others as your planning kicks into high gear, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
SEA ya real soon!
