Hiya Caroline,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited you are planning an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I'm sure you are already thinking about your itinerary, but I hope your list is starting to materialize. This is your friendly reminder that tomorrow is the start of your 60-day reservation window, which means it is nearly time to make
dining and
Enchanting Extras reservations!
So even though we don't talk about Bruno (no, no, no), let's talk about Disney Magic Bands and wearable watches. Whether or not you wear an Apple Watch or a Magic Band is really a matter of preference. One thing to consider is that at this time, pre-arrival MagicBands cannot be shipped to Guests from Canada, but that doesn't mean you can't still use a previously purchased one or pick up one at a merchandise location at Walt Disney World Resort when you arrive. That said, unless I want to use the spectacular interactive features of my MagicBand+, I prefer to leave my MagicBand at home. When I'm wearing my Apple Watch, it is too much on my arm to also wear the MagicBand, so it gets left in either my park bag or my Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotel. Also, thanks to
Disney MagicMobile, your Apple Watch can function just like a MagicBand, saving you from too much clutter on your wrist. You can use your Apple Watch for park entry, pay for purchases, and access Lightning Lane entrances you've reserved through Disney Genie+! So if you want to, you can forgo purchasing MagicBands for your March vacation.
I hope this was helpful, Caroline. Please come back and see us if there is anything else we can help you with. We want you to have a vacation that makes your dreams come true, so we are always here to help.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
