Can your Apple Watch scan for the memory maker photos and link photos from rides like slinky dog, seven dwarfs etc. or do you have to use your phone or card for memory maker?

Hi there Megan, welcome to planDisney!

I'm so happy you brought your question here today, I'm all about streamlining tech to make things easier. Let's see how the Apple Watch can play a role in your Fall visit to Walt Disney World Resort

Great news, I spoke to a Cast Member at Disney Springs' PhotoPass Service Studio during my last Walt Disney World Resort visit. I learned that an Apple Watch works to get photos with Disney PhotoPass photographers and capture ride photos. To be able to scan, you first need to set up a Disney MagicMobile Pass that will be added to your Apple Wallet.

To set up your Disney MagicMobile Pass, open the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Scroll until you see the header "Disney Account" and beneath it, you will see "Set Up MagicMobile Entry". From here, you will select the design of your Pass (there are some fun options!). When you are happy with your selection, click the "+" in the top-right corner and follow the prompts to add your Disney MagicMobile Pass to your Apple Wallet

When it is time to scan your Apple Watch (for theme park entry tickets or for Disney Photopass Photographers wanting to add your photos) you can scan without pressing any buttons since Express Mode is automatically enabled for Apple Devices.

The Cast Member I spoke with cautioned that some rides don't always add photos and recommended noting the time you're on a ride (he suggested snapping a quick screenshot). If attraction photos are missing from your photo gallery, you can visit any PhotoPass location and a Cast Member will help search for your photo(s) after they know the time frame you were there. You can also fill out a form online to find the photos.

Tip: visit one of three PhotoPass Studios where you can have photos with various backdrops (sometimes they have props too). The PhotoPass Studios can be found at Disney Springs, Sir Mickey's at Magic Kingdom Park, and on the second floor of the main building at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Megan, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. If you have any other planning questions, please let me know!

    Cheers,
    Candace
