Howdy, Brandy! Welcome to planDisney.
Thanks for stopping by with your question! As someone who owns an Apple Watch, I had the same question when I recently visited Disneyland.
As you mentioned,
Walt Disney World Resort has a service called
Disney MagicMobile, which allows Guests to enjoy convenient and contactless access to many MagicBand+ features, such as theme park entry or scanning into Lightning Lane entrances. Guests can access the Disney MagicMobile Service using their digital services, including Apple Watch.
However, at this time, Disneyland does not have the MagicMobile service. Therefore, Guests cannot use their Apple Watch to enter the theme parks, etc. However, who knows what the future holds? Hopefully, it won't be long before we can start using our Apple Watch at the Disneyland Resort. Let me encourage you to keep visiting
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disneyland Instagram account for any exciting news.
In the meantime, why not purchase a
MagicBand+ for your trip? MagicBand+ enables Guests to enter the theme parks, check in at
Lightning Lane entrances, and experience really cool features, like haptic vibrations and colorful lights during nighttime spectaculars.
There's even a really awesome game you play in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge called
Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters. Using your Magicband+, you can venture around Black Spire Outpost in search of virtual bounties. I haven't had the chance to play it yet, however, I have my Grogu MagicBand+ and I'm planning on experiencing it on my next Disney adventure this Spring.
Thanks for choosing to be our Guest, Brandy. See ya real soon!
