Welcome to planDisney! We're so glad you're here for help with your upcoming sailing with Disney Cruise Line.
Paul, at this time, an Apple Watch can not be used in place of a DisneyBand+ on the ships. If you prefer not to use a
DisneyBand+ or
MagicBand/MagicBand+, you are welcome to use the
"Key to the World" card that will be given to you once you board the ship. Although I always have both onboard, I prefer my "Key to World" card for
onboard purchases and access to my stateroom.
Speaking of onboard purchases, you can check your account balance on your stateroom TV or in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app (look for "More" in the right-hand corner to see current charges). To help budget for my spending onboard, I like to purchase Disney Gift Cards before I set sail and add them to my account either before the cruise (go into
"Onboard Gifts" under "Already Booked") or stop by
Guest Services once onboard to have them applied. It's always nice to save along the way and start with a credit on your account!
