Is an appetizer included with the dining plan at the Brown Derby?

    Hello there, Alice!

Welcome to planDisney. We're delighted you've dropped by with a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! Dining is one of my favorite aspects of every trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth, and you've mentioned one of my favorite Table Service restaurants: The Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I'm happy to help you prepare for your fabulous meal, Alice. Lights, camera, action!

Walt Disney World Resort Table Service dining locations not only provide nutritional fuel for long days in the theme parks, but they also offer a space for Guests and families to create magical memories together! I always set my alarm clock for 6:00 a.m. 60 days before my Disney Resort hotel check-in date to secure a handful of dining reservations for our trips. I'm thrilled to hear you'll be utilizing a dining plan to enjoy a meal at The Hollywood Brown Derby very soon, Alice. I'm happy to share that, at most Table Service restaurants, including The Hollywood Brown Derby, the Disney Dining Plan includes one entrée (main course), one dessert, and one nonalcoholic (or alcoholic, for Guests 21 and older) beverage per Guest. However, you're certainly more than welcome to add an appetizer to your meal and pay out of pocket for the additional menu item!

Alice, I had the incredible opportunity to dine at The Hollywood Brown Derby with some very dear friends earlier this month, and while many will argue that the famed Cobb Salad is the star of the show, I will say that the filet mignon was one of the best I've ever had. The Stone Fruit Burrata is my favorite appetizer on the menu, and I think the Shrimp Macaroni & Cheese makes a great sharing plate as well! When it comes time for dessert, you really can't go wrong. The Grapefruit Cake is tremendously citrusy and light, but I think I'd opt for the Orange-Hazelnut Chocolate Cake first.

I hope you've found this information and recommendations helpful, Alice! I'm wishing you a trip filled with magical memories made over meals. If you have any additional questions before or during your visit, you're always welcome to return to planDisney. We're ready to roll out the red carpet for you anytime!

    Warm wishes,

    Lauren
